If you are seeking eternity rings, you have come to the right place. Here at Marlows Certified Diamonds, we are passionate about diamond rings and can offer you a vast selection to choose from. In addition to our diamond engagement rings, we sell many other gorgeous products that are well worth a look.
Eternity rings are popular in the UK and many other countries. They are seen as the perfect symbol of romance. This is because they contain diamonds all the way around their circumference and this never-ending circle represents the undying love individuals have for their partners.
The concept of such jewellery was developed in the 1960s by a diamond merchant named De Beers and they have become increasingly prevalent ever since. This is helped by the fact that these days there are so many versions for individuals to choose from.
There is something marvellous about these diamond rings. Because they have so many gleaming gems on them, they provide the ultimate sparkle. Meanwhile, they can be the perfect complement to diamond engagement rings and other such items.
We know that you want plenty of choice if you are purchasing these stunning offerings. Whether you are handing the products over as part of a spontaneous gesture to show your depth of feeling for your other half, are planning to give the ring over to mark an important anniversary or anything else, you should be able to find exactly what you are looking for using our website.
For example, one of our options is a full diamond eternity ring set with princess cut stones. The gleaming gems contained within the band are located between a channel setting.
Meanwhile, we also provide a full diamond set eternity ring comprising round brilliant stones. These too are held in place using a channel setting.
A further option features a full carat of diamonds that are set around the band in a classic platinum claw-setting.
The advantage of having full eternity rings is that the diamonds will always be on show, no matter how the band falls on the wearer’s finger. However, some people find donning such items slightly uncomfortable. For such people, half eternity rings may be a better option. These can look stunning too and we have a wide variety for you to peruse here on our website.
Of course, once you have made your selection by taking a look around our extensive catalogue, you then have to think about the manner in which you will hand the offering over. With the festive season not far off, you may opt to enhance the magic of Christmas by giving the gift on December 25th, or perhaps New Year’s Eve would be your preferred occasion. Whatever you do, your other half is bound to be thrilled with the gesture.
The other great thing about choosing such items from us is that you can stick to your budget. We offer rings in a range of prices, meaning you needn’t break the bank in order to get what you are seeking.

In life you may have many goals. For example, you might want to achieve success in your career and raise a family. While these two aspirations are not always easy to realise, you can certainly make a good attempt at them.
However, finding a truly special romance to take you through your life is a much more tricky. Meeting someone you can call your soul mate and staying with them for the best part of your life is by no means straightforward. Indeed, many people never get to experience this.
So, if you are lucky enough to find yourself in the happy position of being in a long-lasting and loving relationship, you should make sure you recognise and celebrate the fact.
Handing over gifts of diamonds can be one way in which you express your gratitude at being in such a fantastic situation. You might have already handed over a diamond eternity ring or diamond earrings earlier in the relationship but this should not stop you from doing so again.
Showing your appreciation for your other half is a wonderful thing to do and precious stones of this kind are the ideal way to do it.
They are beautiful, long lasting and strong, just like the bond you have with your partner.
So, if you think your relationship deserves to be recognised, you should consider handing over an item of jewellery with such gems in.
This will help show that you do not take the good fortune you have benefited from for granted.

Eternity rings are probably best described as “for best” wedding rings. They’re commonly diamond rings with either a half-set of diamonds (half eternity) around the band or full set (full eternity) The loop (i.e. ring) is an ancient marker of eternity and symbol of endless love and commitment.
Half eternity rings are the most common option. The price of full eternity rings is perhaps what makes them less widespread in the jewellery market. Full eternity rings tend to need alteration, making their production costs a lot higher than those of a half eternity ring. We offer both full and half eternity rings; however, the current trend leans towards white gold diamond eternity rings with a half eternity setting.
When it comes to deciding when to invest in a diamond eternity ring, opinions vary. Some jewellers suggest a diamond eternity ring as a first anniversary gift, others say the birth of your first child is the time to spoil the lady. In all the years our staff have been helping couples choose the perfect eternity ring, they’ve heard it all – eternity rings to mark a date other than the wedding anniversary, to make the last child leaving home, to mark retirement or simply to say thanks for sticking around for what feels like an eternity!
Ruby weddings (40 years) are a common celebratory date whereby a long suffering wife is rewarded by her grateful husband for her years of care. We love the idea of gents who show their wives of one, ten, forty or even sixty years that they’re worth diamonds!

Good jewellery can be a real confidence booster, and there is nothing quite like slipping on your favourite gold earrings or diamond rings to remind yourself just how precious you really are. However, jewellery doesn’t just exist to boost a girl’s self esteem, and good jewellery can have a real aesthetic punch which can elevate practically any outfit to the heady heights of high glamour.
Just like different cut dresses or different styles of shoes will convey markedly different looks, between different kinds of jewellery there is a significant amount of room for manoeuvre in regards to what looks are possible.
For example, the most obvious use of diamonds is within a high glamour context, and by pairing diamonds with a little black number, or an elegant cocktail dress you can really elevate the look. It is in the nature of diamonds to catch the light spontaneously; therefore they have the innate ability to add a touch of magic and even youthfulness to an outfit – perfect for dazzling all onlookers.
Whilst diamonds could be considered the summit of ladies glamour, they are far from being the only jewellery option for anyone who endeavours to elevate their outfit. A white gold eternity ring, for example, is a great alternative to a traditional diamond eternity ring, and is equally symbolic of eternity and faithfulness – whilst being visually stunning in its own right.

Diamond engagement rings are an expression of crowning love, with white diamonds being the most popular. A more unusual expression of love is that found in the iconic small diamond crown worn by Queen Victoria.
Queen Victoria had withdrawn from public life on the death of her beloved consort Prince Albert in 1861 and went into deep mourning. In 1870, she was persuaded to return to her public and had this crown made to replace the Imperial State Crown as it was too heavy and could not be worn with her mourning veil.
The small crown is only 9 centimetres across and 10 centimetres high and is made of silver in the traditional design of a British crown. It has four arches meeting with a cross on top and fleur de lys on the lower band. It contains 1,187 diamonds which came from a necklace the Queen already owned. She chose white diamonds because coloured gems were not worn during mourning. She wore it at all state occasions from the State Opening of Parliament in 1871 until her death in 1901, when it was placed upon her coffin. It was passed down to Queens Alexandra and Mary and is now on display with the Crown Jewels in the Tower of London.
You do not have to be as wealthy as Queen Victoria to show your love to the world. At Marlows we have a range of sparkling colourless diamond engagement rings, diamond wedding rings and diamond eternity bands. You may also choose from our loose cut diamonds collection if you wish to set them in your own jewellery.

Gold is a pure metal, ranging in quality from 9 to 24 carats; the higher the carat number the purer and softer the gold. Gold is used to symbolise purity, with many literary references; indeed the purest love is said to have a heart of gold.
Gold engagement rings embody this love, but gold does not only come in the usual yellow. White gold is a beautiful alternative to platinum and gold can vary in colour from pale yellow to pinky rose, depending upon which alloys are mixed with it.
Clear white diamonds combined with gold rings make the perfect diamond engagement rings. They also make beautiful wedding bands. As well as the simplicity of gold wedding rings, the choice of diamond wedding rings and wedding ring sets is astonishing.
Wedding ring sets are matching engagement rings and wedding bands, bought specially to be worn together, although the engagement rings come first. Matching wedding ring bands for husband and wife have been popular for many years and are now increasingly studded with diamonds. A neat twist for wedding day gifts to bridesmaids is to choose jewellery that mirrors the wedding bands, such as gold earrings.
Thinking to the future, eternity rings are traditionally given at the birth of the first child with a full circle diamond eternity ring being the usual choice. As with all our jewellery at Marlows, there is room for individual choice and the opportunity to stamp your style upon these most personal of items.

These rings are a tangible symbol of enduring love, and often mark an anniversary or other event such as the birth of a child. While there is no definite occasion for giving an eternity ring, it is always a wonderful way of showing the love of your life just how much she means to you. They are generally worn on the wedding ring finger.
Prices and styles of these items of jewellery vary, as do stones and settings, although they are usually diamond rings, with emeralds, rubies and sapphires also popular choices. ‘Full’ eternity rings have stones all the way around the band, so the stones used must be fairly small. These rings are usually custom made.
‘Half’ eternity rings have stones across the face of the band, making them easier to make and size, reflected in the price. Some women find this type of ring more comfortable to wear, and larger stones can be set. Equally, all of the stones can easily be seen.

Eternity rings are usually given to a woman by her husband on important anniversaries or occasions. Most commonly this would be the birth of a first child.
There is debate about the historical significance of an eternity ring. Some say that the tradition of wearing an eternity rings stretches as far back as Egyptian times while other say it is merely clever marketing in order to sell more diamonds.
Diamonds are commonly found in diamond eternity rings in two different ways. The full eternity ring describes diamonds all around the band while half-moon design describes a band with diamonds set into only half of it.
Half-moon diamond eternity rings were created because diamonds worn next to the palm and the underside of the fingers can be irritating to the skin and could be easily scuffed or damaged. However, it is possible now to have the diamonds set into the band in such a way that makes any discomfort or possible damage to the ring (or your hand!) less likely.
The symbolism that the ring offers through its circular shape has the same meaning in eternity rings as it does in engagement rings or wedding rings: a love that has no beginning and no end and is timeless. The enduring and steadfast quality that the diamond symbolises is no accident. Diamonds are one of the hardest materials known on earth and therefore the perfect practical and symbolic precious stone for use in rings.
Diamond eternity rings are not as commonly given as other items of jewellery, such as diamond earrings, but they are more romantic. What better gift to give your partner after a long labour and night after night of no sleep?

Eternity rings are closely linked to wedding rings. Through the unbroken circle or band of metal, which has no beginning and no end, the eternity ring symbolises the same eternal qualities of true love.
Historians have uncovered the concept of the eternity ring in examples of artefacts that closely resemble an eternity ring and yet date as far back as 2000 BC, through the Ancient Egyptians and continuing throughout the rise of the Greek Empire.
Unlike wedding rings, eternity rings are usually given to commemorate a special occasion. Anniversaries and the birth of a first child are often times when eternity rings are given to partners. They may be worn with the engagement ring and wedding ring, or kept aside for special occasions.
In terms of design, eternity rings often consist of a band set with stones – usually diamonds. They can either be ‘full’ eternity rings (with stones set all around them) or ‘half’ (with stones set halfway around the band). The full eternity ring can be impractical and uncomfortable, which is why often half eternity rings are more widely chosen.
As with engagement rings and wedding rings, you can decide whether you want to go for diamond eternity rings, gold eternity rings or white gold diamond eternity rings, and you should make this decision the same way you would decide on any other piece of important jewellery. Think about your partner’s likes and dislikes and her lifestyle. Don’t get into debt over it; work out a budget and stick to it.
The most important advice of all is to buy what you love.
