Getting The Measurements Right

The difficult part for any person wishing to purchase a diamond ring as a gift or of course, a proposal, is will it fit the intended ‘ring wearer’?

Ring buying is emotional and practical

Even though the element of surprise might seem dampened by the practicality, getting your partner measured is a great idea whenever possible. Saving yourself from embarrassment and disappointment outweighs losing this sparkle of surpise. This means that you need to have the correct measurements before going to the jewellers otherwise you might have to send it back for resizing. You can always “borrow” another of her other rings when you buy her the new one to compare the sizes if you visit the retailer in person if you wish.

The moment a person is sure that they want to join the list of question poppers then before worrying about her response panic about the ring size, because she might say yes and then change her mind when the ring doesn’t fit (some people have weird superstitions).

Making adjustments

Getting the size of the ring adjusted isn’t the end of the world though. When you buy a ring from Marlows, we offer a free after-care service which includes resizing if necessary. Whether you buy in person or online, Marlows offer great advice about choosing the perfect ring, be it an engagement ring or an eternity ring?
