Whether To Insure Engagement Rings Against Loss
It is a common dilemma. Should you insure engagement rings or not? Well, the short and simple answer is yes! These diamond engagement rings hold not only a huge emotional value but often are a significant financial investment to the couple in question. As it is impossible to know what is likely to happen over an engagement ring’s lifespan, you need to insure it to protect it from as many eventualities as possible.

Loss
One of the main reasons for the loss of engagement rings is that they’ve fallen down the drainpipe. This may sound like a cliché but rings falling down showers, bathtubs or kitchen sink drains happens all the time. However there are many other ways that diamond engagement rings can be lost. When swimming in the sea, a lake or river your fingers can shrink due to the cool temperatures and a ring can easily slip off and be lost. Another top reason cited for loss is removing the ring in a hotel room when travelling and then forgetting to replace it afterwards.
Engagement rings that fall on the carpet can go unnoticed and end their days in the vacuum cleaner or a pet might be attracted to glittering on the floor and eat it. The list is endless so make sure you are covered.
