Keeping your engagement ring safe and secure

From the moment your husband-to-be pops the question and you see the engagement ring he bought for you, the last thing you want to do is lose or damage it. It is beautiful and it sparkles and when you wear it, you feel gorgeous and proud.

The engagement ring has a huge role to play; it represents your love and promise to each other after all – and all your friends will want to see it. The aim is to keep your engagement ring as safe as possible, which can be tricky if you’re not used to wearing a ring. Losing your engagement ring is the subject of many a girl’s nightmares, but your engagement should be a happy time, so follow our tips you won’t have to worry about it – instead you can concentrate on planning your big day!

Tips on protecting your engagement ring

An engagement ring is a prized possession, and here at Marlow’s we only sell quality rings with certified diamonds. To avoid losing this prized possession, we advise that when you take off your engagement ring, you always put it in the same secure place every time. This could be either on your nightstand, in a jewellery box or in your closet. This way, you will always know where it is and can find it easily.

Also, do not wear your engagement ring when swimming, working in the garden, at the gym or doing any activity where there is a possibility of your engagement ring getting damaged or lost. Working in harsh chemicals while wearing your ring could also cause it to wear out and look rather the worse for wear. Use gloves or take your ring off.
